Pikes Peak - Summer Storm

Pikes Peak — Summer Storm

Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, Colorado • June 2015

A summer storm moves across Pikes Peak as shafts of sunlight break through the clouds, illuminating the mountain beneath a dark and turbulent sky. Photographed from Garden of the Gods, this black-and-white image captures one of those fleeting moments when weather, landscape, and light transform a familiar view into something entirely different.
